Cooperative is an opportunity for making profit from Free/Libre & Open Source Software (FLOSS) by using cooperative business model. On the talks, speaker will explain why cooperative model should implemented by OSS community as well as businesses and its benefits, and how this can lead innovation in FLOSS/OSS world.
Apart, speaker will briefly story about Malaysia's first open source cooperative, Koperasi Sumber Terbuka Malaysia berhad (KOSTEM) (en: Malaysian Open Source Cooperative Limited) that will be established soon, and what the benefit joining this - perhaps first in the world - coop especially for community in Malaysia.

Mohamad Imran Ishak, nicknamed MakLaN, is a Secretary of Pro tem Committee for the first proposed cooperative dedicated to Free/Libre & Open Source Software (FLOSS) community fans/industry in Malaysia. Together with few persons from community, the role of Pro tem Committee is to plan and ensure the first FLOSS cooperative in Malaysia become reality.
